This policy describes how SoCal Wellness Retreats, operating THRESHOLD Custom Retreats (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information through thresholdcustomretreats.com, our Design Your THRESHOLD quiz, retreat inquiries, and related email communications.
Information you share with us
We collect contact details such as your name and email address; retreat preferences such as your intended experience, location, timing, party size, activities, and budget range; and information you include in an inquiry or message. When you book, we also keep booking and payment records. Payment services process payment details under their own privacy policies.
The retreat quiz is a planning tool, not a medical assessment. Please do not enter diagnoses, medical records, medication details, or other sensitive health information into the quiz or general contact forms. Any separate professional-care intake should be handled directly with the relevant provider.
How we use information
We use information to provide quiz results, respond to requests, design and coordinate retreat experiences, administer bookings, deliver purchased services, and maintain business records. We may also use service activity and feedback to understand and improve our website and offerings.
Joining our marketing email list is optional. If you opt in, you may receive John’s weekly video email and occasional invitations relating to THRESHOLD retreats, coaching, courses, and classes. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or contact us below. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary communications about a booking or purchase.
Services and people that handle information
We use ScoreApp to host the retreat quiz and store its responses, Kajabi for website and email services, and Google services for business communications and records. Where enabled, Zapier transfers consenting subscribers’ names and email addresses from ScoreApp to Kajabi. That email-list transfer does not include their quiz answers.
John, Jenn, and people helping deliver your requested retreat may receive the information needed to plan or provide it. We also use service providers for payment processing and business administration. These providers have their own privacy notices. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or prevent fraud.
Cookies and online tracking
Our hosting and quiz services use cookies and similar technologies for functions such as security, session management, and remembering activity. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although some site features may then stop working. Third-party services may collect device and browser information, IP addresses, page visits, and interaction data while providing their services.
As of this policy’s effective date, the new THRESHOLD quiz Meta pixel has not been activated. We will update this notice and the relevant privacy choices before activating additional advertising tracking. We do not send retreat quiz answers to Meta as advertising-event information.
California Do Not Track disclosure: Our website and service providers do not currently provide a uniform response to browser Do Not Track signals. Third-party services may collect information about activity over time and across websites under their own policies. You may use browser privacy controls and contact us about your choices.
Your information and choices
You can ask to review, correct, or delete information you have provided by emailing us. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some records may need to be retained to fulfill a booking, resolve a dispute, maintain required business records, or meet legal obligations. We will explain any applicable limitation when responding. Rights available under applicable privacy law are not limited by this policy.
Retention and security
We retain information for the purposes described here, including ongoing service relationships, recordkeeping, and legal obligations. Retention needs vary by record type. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure; please avoid sending sensitive personal information through ordinary email or general website forms.
Children and external links
Our quiz and marketing communications are intended for adults. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can address it. Links to other websites are governed by those websites’ own privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We will post updated policies on this page and revise the effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
