Stronger Clients. Deeper Impact.
Help your clients bring the work out of the therapy room and into their lives.
Your clients may understand their patterns, they may know what needs to change. But between sessions, they still have to navigate work, stress, screens, sleep, relationships, routines, and the behaviors that keep pulling them back into old patterns.
That’s where I can help. I provide high-touch, nervous-system-first support and immersive experiences designed to help people regulate, build healthier routines, and actually practice what they already know.
Evidence-Informed
Science-backed practices you can trust.
Practical & Experiential
Tools your clients can actually use.
Collaborative
Support that complements your therapeutic work.
Real-World Impact
Healthier, more resilient clients and communities.
PRACTICAL TOOLS. LASTING CHANGE.
What We Work On
I provide hands-on support and experiential practices to help clients implement what they’re already exploring in therapy.
Breathwork
Simple, effective techniques for stress regulation, grounding and greater resilience.
Meditation & Mindfulness
Helping clients build an actual practice — not just understand the benefits.
Morning & Evening Routines
Daily structures that support focus, energy, sleep and emotional regulation.
Digital Boundaries
Practical support around screen time, distraction and healthier relationships with technology.
Movement & Recovery
Sustainable practices for movement, rest and recovery.
Accountability & Behavior Change
Turning intention into action through realistic goals, tracking and ongoing support.
Because knowing what to do and actually doing it are two different things.
Beyond the Session gives appropriate clients the time, practice, structure and accountability to turn healthy intentions into everyday behaviors — while their therapist continues leading the therapeutic work.
“John provided a lot of information about the body and mind connection. He led us through extensive and deep breathwork that had a profound effect on me. He led yoga and meditation for our group with just the right touch. ”

Learn More →A Bridge Between Insight and Daily Life
Knowing what to do and actually doing it are two very different things. Most people don’t need more insight — they’ve already done the reading, the reflecting, the therapy. What’s missing is the bridge between that insight and their daily life: the structures, the accountability, and the embodied practice that turn understanding into a life that actually feels different.
That’s the gap I work in. Not as a replacement for therapy, but as the follow-through that helps a client’s insight finally take root in how they live, day to day.

“John is truly a gem. From the moment I walked in the door and was greeted by John’s warm energy and huge smile, I felt welcomed and supported. The entire experience was incredibly nourishing, fun, and thoughtfully designed. It was clear how much care and intention went into every detail. What stood out most to me was that the experience didn’t just feel good in the moment—it introduced me to tools and practices I genuinely wanted to bring back into my everyday life. From breathwork and meditation to the cold plunge and other practices, I left feeling inspired to continue incorporating what I learned long after the retreat ended. How I Support Real Humans Living Real Lives
Nervous System Regulation
Practical, body-based tools to help clients move out of chronic fight-or-flight and back into a state where change is actually possible.
Routines & Lifestyle
Building the daily structures — sleep, movement, food, environment — that make insight sustainable instead of situational.
Accountability & Integration
Consistent check-ins and structure that help clients follow through on what they already know they need to do.
Burnout & Chronic Stress
Direct, experience-based work with the specific patterns that drive burnout, so clients can recover capacity instead of just managing symptoms.
Immersive Experiences
Retreats and intensives that compress months of progress into days, through fully immersive, out-of-the-office work.
Support for the People Doing the Supporting
Therapists, coaches, and other helping professionals spend their days holding space for everyone else. It’s easy to end up last on your own list. This work is also for you — a place to get supported, regulated, and resourced, so you have more to give the people you show up for.
Come experience the work for free. I’ll also work with one of your clients for free.
Different Roles. Shared Intention.
YOUR ROLE
- Hold the clinical relationship and diagnosis
- Do the deep therapeutic and emotional work
- Determine what your client is ready for
- Stay the primary point of care
- Refer out when it’s the right fit
- Stay looped in on progress, as much as you’d like
MY ROLE
- Reinforce the work between sessions
- Build daily structure and routines
- Provide nervous-system-based tools
- Hold accountability week to week
- Run immersive retreats and intensives
- Never diagnose or treat clinically
- Never contradict a client’s treatment plan
- Always work as a complement to therapy, not a substitute
Same client. Same goal. Different roles — working together instead of in isolation.
The Other 167 Hours
A single session is one hour a week. That leaves 167 other hours where your client is on their own with what they learned — or isn’t. Real change happens in those other hours: in the routines they keep, the way they regulate under stress, and the small choices no one is watching.
My work is built around that gap. It’s not about adding another hour of talking. It’s about giving clients tools and structure that travel with them into the other 167 hours of their week.
“Real change happens in the hours when no one is watching.”
— JOHN QUIRK
Sometimes an Hour Isn’t Enough.
Take the Work Outside the Office.
Some patterns only shift when you take the work outside the office — away from the calendar, the inbox, and the routines that keep old patterns in place. That’s what the retreats and immersive intensives are for: dedicated time and space to do the deeper work that a weekly session can only point toward.
Experience the Work for Yourself
The best way to know if this is right for a client is to experience it yourself first. Book a complimentary session, feel what the work is actually like, and refer with confidence — knowing exactly what you’re sending your client into.
